Moreno Valley, California. Valley View High School celebrated the opening of their new athletic field with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, October 3rd. The modernization began in June 2018 and included a demolition of the existing track and field, installation of an all-weather track with asphalt base, fencing improvements, and improved drainage and grading. The most vibrant of upgrades is the bright red turf chosen to accentuate school spirit and instill pride for athletes, students and staff.

This is a project that lets people know that Valley View and Moreno Valley Unified are serious about their athletic programs and developing our players’ skills. I believe the bright red turf is going to attract new visitors to our school’s football games and track events, so our students and community are in for a real treat.

In addition to being an improved resource for the community, the newly modernized field will improve surface safety and performance for athletes; and reduce water consumption and safety expenses. Next up for Valley View High School is a modernization of their remaining campus. Design is underway, and construction is scheduled to begin in the Summer of 2019.
