District leaders, students, and community members celebrated the completion of the innovation center at West Riverside Elementary with a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on November 20, 2019. The building was dedicated to Rear Admiral Allen E. Hill in appreciation and recognition of his loyal and dedicated service in the United States Navy.

The wait is finally over as San Jacinto High School opens its new aquatics center. District and community members dreamed of a new pool for over twenty years but faced numerous funding challenges. After a gracious contribution from the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians, they were finally able to make it a reality. The new pool is a place for students to learn perseverance, goal-setting, and resilience.

Two years ago, Barstow Unified School District (BUSD) broke ground for Barstow Fine Arts Academy, the second magnet school in their district. It followed shortly after Barstow STEM Academy, which opened in 2014 and established the district’s goal to open magnet schools that enrich the community. A fine arts academy was the clear next step to inspire creativity and artistic expression in the community.

City officials, school board members, district staff, and other members of the educational community gathered at Innovative Horizons Charter School (IHCS) on June 18th to break ground on a modernization/reconstruction project. "It's been three years since Perris Elementary School District (PESD) has opened our last elementary school,” remarked Francine Story, Chief Business Official of PESD. "At last, the time has finally come for Perris Elementary School District to break ground here at Innovative Horizons!"

After a full year of hard work from students and mentors alike, May 9th marked the 6th annual graduation for ACE Mentor Inland Empire. Students from Eisenhower, Etiwanda, Montclair, and Santiago High School programs gathered at the beautiful CVWD Frontier Project and presented their design projects before peers, family, and our vested industry partners.

Thursday, May 16th, Coachella Valley Unified School District celebrated the start of construction at Palm View Elementary School with a groundbreaking ceremony. Over 100 members of the educational community gathered in celebration as they watched student performances and listened to the mayor and district staff speak about the exciting changes to come.

Ina Arbuckle Elementary School is nestled in a small neighborhood in Jurupa Valley, California. The school has undergone many modernizations and upgrades since it opened in 1956—the most recent of which completed in March 2019. Getting there was no small feat as the community had to rally together to pass Measure EE Bond to fund the most recent modernization.

Laguna Beach High School celebrated the opening of their new stadium building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week. The 2,322 square foot facility includes restrooms, lockers, coaches office and storage for their athletic programs.

Each year, Hemet Unified School District hosts a Family STEAM Night at Cawston Elementary School for their fifth graders to learn about careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. This year, seven of our team members attended and walked students through the fun and exciting activity of building their own house.

The 2018 cycle of XPLORE saw nine entries in the final round, each with a unique proposal highly worthy of the final prize.

This year at the CSBA Trade Show, we asked participants to help us discover shared values for quality education in California by taking part in the creation of a data map. Through this visual language, they shared what they valued in delivering quality education to students.

Adobe MAX is the annual gathering of over 14,000 creative professionals that come together to learn about industry trends, get exposure to new products and technology, and kick-start their creativity. As one of the most inspiring creative conferences out there, our team was eager to attend for the fourth consecutive year. Here’s what they learned…

The Valley View High School celebrated the opening of their new athletic field with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, October 3rd. The most vibrant of upgrades is the bright red turf chosen to accentuate school spirit and instill pride for athletes, students and staff.

The RARCC is an organization near and dear to our hearts. Several of our team members, including myself, are actively involved in the organization’s mission through board membership and community outreach. Last night was an amazing opportunity to raise awareness for RARCC by bringing the community together in support of their efforts.

The state-of-the-art facility is from public dollars, for public use, and another milestone for Beaumont Unified School District. Thanks to Measure Z funds, 836 students are able to attend this vibrant school and fill the seats of 38 active learning classrooms.

XPLORE is a personal journey in the pursuit of growth and exploration, and my recent journey to Europe allowed me to live and connect to both. The Sound of Memory project was to further explore the value of memory and the power to remember.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held this morning to celebrate the beginning of construction for Soboba Aquatics Center at San Jacinto High School. The community has been in desperate need for a pool since Sallee Park Recreational Pool, the only public pool in San Jacinto, closed in 2014. However, San Jacinto Unified School District (SJUSD) has been advocating for a pool long before the closure of Sallee Park.

The past two years, Ruhnau Clarke Architects has teamed up with the Riverside Downtown Business Council to participate in the Great American Clean Up—an event led by Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful.

CTE Facility design should be driven by curriculum to meet the educational needs of the chosen pathway. When applying for CTEFP funding, get started as early as possible. Talk with teachers and industry partners, and visit other facilities offering the same pathway.

Completed in August 2017,  Saburo Muraoka Elementary School breathes new life into how education is delivered to students in the surrounding community–with a flexible design that meets students wherever they are at in their learning journey.

The District envisioned a high-tech facility on the high school’s campus fully equipped with features unique to their performing arts program. The new Performing Arts Center will serve as a beacon to the surrounding community by drawing patrons and supporters of the arts, and giving students the opportunity to collaborate and share ideas between various school programs and student cultures.

ACE Mentor Program is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high school students with hands on experience from mentors in the architecture, construction and engineering industries.

The Innovation Center is equipped with immersive technologies and industry equipment in an effort to foster collaboration, inspire curiosity and to prepare students for their future.
